Further hearing date in Australian Defence Force public hearing
The Royal Commission’s public hearing into the Australian Defence Force (Case Study 40) will recommence for a further day of hearing in Sydney on Friday 26 August 2016.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive the evidence of one witness, Carroll James, former Wing Commander, Air Training Corps (now the Australian Air Force Cadets), who was involved in the response of the Tasmanian Squadron of the Air Training Corps to allegations that Cadet Sergeant Eleanore Tibble and Leading Aircraftman Matthew Harper had had a prohibited relationship.
As the hearing will only deal with the Australian Air Force Cadets, parties with Leave to Appear in the Case Study 40 regarding child sexual abuse at HMAS Leeuwin and Balcombe will not be required to attend.
Venue: Hearing Room 1, Level 17, Governor Macquarie Tower, 1 Farrer Place, Sydney.
Time: 10 am AEST
Date: Friday 26 August 2016
